I am a half kuwaiti/half american girl living in Kuwait. I am perpetually suspended in the granite hollow that fills the space between two worlds... Not quite who I am, not quite who I want to be... Cat-lover, poet, music-nut. I currently hold a PHD in both BS and Smartass. In short, I pitch my tent in the median of life..

Spiraling, spiraling spaces...

The space between the tears we cry....
is the laughter keeps us coming back for more...
The space between the wicked lies we tell..
and hope to keep safe from the pain ...

I've been thinking about spaces a lot. The concept of space (not space as in NASA space), but the spaces more apparent. The ones here on earth. The spaces between two people. Between lines and words unsaid. Fragmented thoughts.. When you think about it, spaces are all we have. Some of them are full. Full of joy, sorrow, jokes, flattery... some of them, full of nothing. The very definition of space. A hollow, a void, an inescapable emptiness...

If the spaces are what fall in between our existence, then what's between the spaces? Its questions like that, I think, that keep man from being truly happy.

Here's the stupidest thing I have read today:

"It plays on an objectively determinable factual reality which cannot be denied..." the ASA said on its Web site.

Now, that is a mouthful...

...................................................................

Some words that have been swirling in my head:

"Absence of evidence is not always evidence of absence."

"Friends may come and go, enemies accumulate."

"Those soldiers are being confronted. They are conscious of death, hope, fear, despair- all the dimensions. They have waited.. helpless. I feel they're out there, all those people- and especially at night, with the cold stars burning in the desert sky- and they are being deified despite their frustrations. I feel that they will be conscious of utter loneliness. God is within that loneliness, and that is why so many of the founding prophets went into the desert seeking God. I hope they have sentinels out there who are just experiencing... that sky. They can't do anything except face themselves. And when you face yourself, you face God."

"Nature abhors straight lines, while humans revel in them."

skunk> exactly... no mako senso :P

The space is not really space but an imaginary space that is occupied by space and cannot be classified as such as space, ergo, space is not space, but really space is in space outside space, which makes it not space to start with.

huh? :/

I think the time has come for 'someone' to find themself a job :P

Space=Faragha :P

Ahhh Dave Matthews :)

Miyafushi> :0 I'm insulted! :P I do have a job! .... just not a very stimulating one :/

Erzulie> His voice is like candy to my soul ;)

purg> Its like the ultimate tautology.... :/

I will come back to comment on content later, but for now, before I run off to work, I want to congratulate you for coming over to the dark side (with your blog layout) .. ;)

"Absence of evidence is not always
evidence of absence."

I read that yesterday and it made me smile. Funny how you stumbled across it too.

Regardless, I love this post.

Space, interesting concept. In believing that everything in existence is relative, and that existance is only definted by us having a "non-existant" state, then I propose the following:

Space is only what we classify as what we dont classify as Not space. Seeing as we classify everything we understand as something, then space is simply the collection of things that we cannot classify. However, this is wrong to say, seeing as we have classified the collective group of things that we claim we cannot classify as.... SPACE.

definted = defined

yeah im being anal

Ok fuckit, im reposting my comment... i ballsed it up.

Space is only what we classify as what we dont classify as space. Seeing as we classify everything we understand as something, then space is simply the collection of things that we cannot understand/classify. However, this is wrong to say, seeing as we have classified the collective group of things that we claim we cannot classify as.... SPACE.

"Friends may come and go, enemies accumulate."
thats really a Booooooooooooooooomb
i love that kind of speach and it was really a nice post :)

Sometimes, the most interesting kind of argument is where you support that argument with the argument itself. It is not the strongest argument, but this "cyclical" argument sounds so true: "The sky is blue due to the blueness of the sky"...and then you go home and think about it and say.."wait a minute...that guy actually had no evidence! But sounded so logical!"

Entre'> Ya3ny ya you flood the post with comments or u don't comment at all!? :P moderation, man... look it up! ;)

What is it with people and tautologies.... I read ur comment at least three or four times.. its kinda making sense now, altho not in any way that I could clearly 'classify' ;) Basically, what your getting at is that space is nothing... it is meaningless... kinda like time to an archeologist...

Zizo> Thanx man! Welcome to my blog! :D

caff> Hey girl! are you referring to the 'alleged' logic behind entre' and purg's comments? :P cos if u are, you have much more comprehensive capacity than I do! :P

caff is bluffing...
