Music and Shtuff...

I'm a big music fan, as is probably apparent seeing as how this is my second music post in less than two weeks... Anywho, I was thinking last night how there are certain albums that I can listen to without hitting the skip button once... I racked my brain and these are the albums I came up with:

1. Every Robbie Williams album except Intensive Care... I think he lost the plot a bit with that one.

2. Every Jason Mraz and John Mayer album. Any song they sing, I invariably wind up loving.

3. Aerosmith's Oh, Yeah! The Ultimate Hits album, disc 2.

4. Maroon 5's Songs About Jane, although Must Get Out tends to get the repeat treatment.

5. Any and every Matchbox Twenty album.

6. The Never Been Kissed soundtrack.

7. Sugar Ray's self-titled album. Disasterpiece is crazy-good.

I think that's it...

What are some albums that you can listen to without skipping a song?

Also, going back to my post about memories becoming drenched in songs and vice versa... Can you remember what the first CD you ever bought was?

Mine was EYC's debut (only?) album...

Since Caff loved the Bush-ism so much, here's another one!

i absolutely have no clue what my first cd was :|

as for full albums:

DJ Krush - Kakusei
should ideally be listened to in a calm and preferably altered state :P , but if not its still good as an end of the day thing.

and portishead.

oh and i think the roisin murphy album was the last one i listened to all the way thru without skipping.

and yay! i made it onto your blogroll :D

purg good god man! what's up with you and Barry White?

Skunk you brits and ur love of portishead... *shakes head disapprovingly*

First CD I bought was for Creed.

I would agree with Skunk on Portishead.. I can listen to all their music. I can listen to Nora Jones without skipping a song; Fairouz; Rashid Al-Majid's earlier album; and of course Nina Simone.. err... i listen to everything!

You need Barry White

Maroon 5 as well.

I skip everything.
Bs itha sira7t i can listen to almost anything without skipping & sing along to virtually anything.

Thanks for the shout-out...another Bush-ism "winner" today. I had no idea how much I'm looking forward to 2008 until it hit me the other day...but we will see what happens in the elections for Congress this year...shouldn't there be a balance to good and evil? (If the Dems win, they might balance out the Rep Admin). Then again, I'm making the [false] assumption that the Dems are good/ will make a positive difference....

:S

Ah, Robbie Williams...an every day kinda guy (but he is a "leftover" from a boy band...Take That) who is simply adorable. I like a lot of his stuff.

And Aerosmith...classic, classic. I love older Rock groups that started in teh 80s / 90s.

lol pffft, see ,... panics got taste :D

and i'm not a brit :P just stayed there too long i suppose :|

and now going back to shop in a few days :D

The top ten off the top of my head...

1)Tragic Kingdom (No Doubt)
2)Toxicity (System of A Down)
3)Twisted Transistor (KoRn)
4)Otra Nota (Marc Anthony)
5)Absolution (Muse)
6)Ghost of You (My Chemical Romance)
7)Fallen ( Evanescence)
8)Significant Other (Limp Bizkit)
9)Satellite (P.O.D)
10)Slipknot (Slipknot)

The first CD I ever bought was Tragic Kingdom. I owned the cassette (remember those?) and I wore out 2 copies of it from playing it so much. After that I got the more expensive but albeit more durable CD.

As for centering your blog go into your body and open carrot center open carrot and then go to the end of body and close carrot center close carrot. sorry your blog wouldnt let me do the thingy here...lol that's it.

WOW. I gotta say the choices are very original and so NOT mainstream ^_^

cp Creed is cool but then their stuff got really repetitive... As for portishead, get thee into the corner with skunk! :P

purg yeah, like I need a hole in the head...

dr you're just like 7! he never listens to a full album... or song for that matter! :P

caff yeah, I wouldn't be so quick to assume the asses are gonna make anything better... besides, I'm gonna miss the bush-isms when he's gone :(

Yeah, the one black spot that'll tarnish RW's rep is that he was in Take That, but as a stand alone artist, I think he has bucketloads of credibility.. And Aerosmith are the best. Full Stop. :D

mia tragic kingdom was a very good album... I totally forgot that one! :D

Thanx for the help with the centering thing, but I didn't understand a word of it... what carrot? :/

Fallen Angel tit6anaz? :P

The firs CD I bought was something I had no idea about. It was some weird rock band, with a cool cover. I bought it to test my CD that was all lol.

Albums:
Yngwie J. Malmsteen's:
- Rising Force..
- Attack!!..
- Concerto Suite for Electric Guitar and Orchestra in E flat minor, Opus 1

I usually skip around and have my own playlists :P

sugar babes

blogger wouldnt let me show you...let me try to figure out a way do this here... u know that side way v thing? < thats and open carrot this is a closed carrot > and u know when u close a carrot u add the backslash thiny before you close it. / then close carrot. Lets hope this works (inshullah)

The first thing that came to mind (about the album thing) is the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. I know every song by heart. I did a karaoke of "Every Ghetto, Every City." I rapped it out, straight uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup
